Our poem this week was "Family". We made movements to our poem, completed sorts, and worked on a poetry page.
For word work, we looked at C or I, A or C, A or D, and D or G.
Our big book was "Molly's Leash".
For writing, we wrote cat for C, apple for A, Dog for D, Giraffe for G, and worked in our Kindergarten portfolios.
For guidance, we worked on focusing attention.
For read aloud, we read "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse". We worked on predicting, retelling, studying our main character, making inferences, telling our favorite part, and answering comprehension questions.
For math, we worked on five-frames and ten-frames. The students are practicing one to one correspondence, subitizing, and matching numbers.
For handwriting, we practiced letter D and P.
