Book Bags are also starting this week! Sometime this week, your child will be bringing home their own book bag. Inside this book bag is a letter, some helpful notes on reading with your child, and two reading books.
I ask that you hold on to the same books for a couple of days. Read them many times, look for sight words or word wall words, retell the important events, and ask your child comprehension questions.
When you feel that they are ready for new books, send the book bag back with the two books and your child will pick two new books!
Right now, I am sending home leveled books based on how many letter sounds your child knows. If at any point you feel the books are too easy or too hard for child, please let me know!
