This week in Kindergarten!
Our poem this week was Five Fat Turkeys. We made movements, glued it into our poetry notebook, completed a poetry page, and recorded the poem for seesaw.
Our read aloud was Turkey Trouble. We made predictions, retold important parts, did a turkey study, and answered questions.
For writing, the students started writing narrative books about 50's Day or a different topic of their choosing. They are writing these books on their own (with some assistance, if needed).
In math, we are in unit 3. In this unit your child will count by 2's to 20, explore even numbers as doubles, add 1 and subtract 1 to numbers from 1 to 10, compare and order numbers from 1 to 10, and write equations to show sums up to 5.
In guidance we talked about feelings, again! We talked about that if you can name your own feelings, it will help you figure out how other people feel. All feelings are natural. Some feelings are comfortable, and some are uncomfortable. Physical clues can help you identify others' feelings.
