This week in Kindergarten!
Our poem was Little Ole Elf. We made movements, glued it in our poetry notebook, completed a poetry page, and recorded it for seesaw.
Our read aloud was Gingerbread Girl. We practiced making predictions, retelling, comparing and contrasting to The Gingerbread Man, making inferences, telling our favorite part, and answering comprehension questions.
For writing, we talked about what makes our writing easy and hard to read. We also finished up our narrative writing unit! They worked so hard on writing their books and they should be so proud of all their hard work.
For math, we are in unit 4. In this unit your child will count by 2's to 20, explore even numbers as doubles, add 1 and subtract 1 to numbers from 1 to 10, compare and order numbers from 1 to 10, and write equations to show sums up to 5.
For guidance, we talked about identifying anger. What anger looks like like and how to solve our anger in a safe and healthy way.
Friday was our gingerbread house making day! We had so much fun. Thank you to everyone who sent in items to help make our gingerbread houses look so delicious!
